What is Five Nights at Frickbear's 3?
Five Nights at Frickbear's 3 (Frickbears 3 for short) is a free Five Nights at Freddy's fangame by SpookyRick. You guard Freddy Frickbear's Pizza through the night, juggling power, office temperature, cameras, vents and a token economy while a huge roster of cartoon-ugly animatronics tries to get into your office.
On its official Game Jolt page, SpookyRick describes Frickbear's 3 as a FNaF fangame with a big focus on player choice and replayability, a uniquely goofy-looking art style, over 40 unique animatronic enemies, 3D free-roam minigames and four different endings. The page also says you do not need to play Frickbear's 1 or 2 first: the third game's story is self-contained.
The full game launched on Game Jolt on March 13, 2026, after a demo (version 0.1.0) that went up in October 2024. According to the developer's pre-release testing notes, reaching the credits takes about 1–3 hours depending on skill, while completing everything takes closer to 6–10 hours — and seeing every major piece of content needs at least five playthroughs.
Update 2.0 arrived on October 23, 2026 together with the Four Layers Down expansion. SpookyRick's devlog says it adds 40 new animatronics for a total of 87 threats, plus an Endless mode with Solo and Party variants and Shuffler Mode, which unlocks after beating the base game's true final boss.
How to play Five Nights at Frickbear's 3
- Press Play and wait for the first load. The browser build downloads roughly 80 MB of game data on the first visit; the loader says it is cached afterwards, so later visits start much faster.
- Click inside the game once so it receives keyboard input, then press Space on the "Bear in mind" warning screen to continue. The game itself recommends stereo headphones because many threats are tracked by sound.
- In the office, watch the Power and Temperature bars at the bottom and the Tokens counter at the top right. The monitor has Cameras, Vents, Shop and Games tabs: play the minigames to earn tokens, spend them in the shop, and keep checking cams.
- Survive until 6 AM. Any tokens or power left over at the end of the night are converted into cash (an in-game Frick-Tip), which you can spend on upgrades between nights.
Five Nights at Frickbear's 3 features
- 40+ base-game animatronics, rising to 87 threats with the Four Layers Down expansion (developer devlog, October 2026).
- Office management with power, temperature, doors, a fan, a flashlight, cameras and vents.
- Token minigames on the office monitor — Fredsweeper, Chica's Feeding Frenzy, Puppet Patrol, Hare Pairs, Pirate Plunder, Cupcake Clicker, Scott's Slots and more.
- Between-night upgrade shop: items such as Overcharge (start each night with an extra 10% power), Cam Radar and Talbert's Files.
- Branching story routes, boss fights, parking-lot cutscenes and four endings.
- Custom Night with 20 challenges, optional cheats, 1–6 minute nights and SP versions of certain animatronics.
- Custom guard support with the official Luigi and Grike templates.

How a night works in Frickbears 3
Each night starts with a roster card — on Night 1 of the browser build we tested, that was Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy and the Marionette. In the office, the bottom bar shows Power and Temperature, the top-left clock shows the hour and night, and the top-right counter shows Tokens. The monitor has four tabs: Cameras (CAM 1–8), Vents, Shop and Games.
- Power drains with what you use. In the game logic, usage adds up the monitor, both doors, the flashlight and the fan, so idle time is cheap and stacking tools is expensive.
- Temperature climbs when the fan is off; let it max out and you can lose the night to a heat death.
- Tokens come from the monitor minigames (Fredsweeper, Chica's Feeding Frenzy, Puppet Patrol, Hare Pairs, Cupcake Clicker, Scott's Slots and more) and buy items in the shop.
- Cash: leftover tokens and power become money at 6 AM and pay for upgrades between nights.
- Sound matters: several animatronics are tracked by audio — for example the Mimic hides in one of many mascot suits and you find it by listening as it moves between cameras.

Routes, bosses and four endings
Frickbears 3 is built around choices. Between nights you meet characters in parking-lot cutscenes (the demo already had a special scene if you qualified to meet Michael and Vanny at the same time), and the developer's patch notes refer to separate good, evil, money and mask routes with their own boss fights. Dropping a route on Night 5 changes where you end up, and the official page promises four different endings. SpookyRick says you need at least five playthroughs to see every major piece of content and fill the extras menu.
